Workers' Compensation Claims (CA 10) (v.1)

This course provides participants with an in-depth study of workers' compensation, including its history and evolution, up to the present system. A basic understanding of insurance vs. self-insurance, definitions of employer and employee, criteria of industrial injury (AOE/COE) benefits provided, medical control of claims, including discussion of Utilization Review and Medical Provider Networks, and overview of the WCAB are all discussed. CA 8 or the seminar Introduction to Workers' Compensation Claims is a suggested prerequisite for individuals with less than 6 months claims handling experience. CE credit shown below; no CE credit for: BRN-Board of Registered Nurses, MCLE or DOI agent and broker.

Workers' Compensation Adjuster Post Designation Training

This course applies 30 hours towards the training requirement for a workers' compensation claims adjuster, medical only claims adjuster, or medical bill reviewer pursuant to California Insurance Code Section 11761 and California Code of Regulations Section 2592 et esq. You must be online in the course for the full 30 hours and complete all course requirements to download and print the training certificate.

If you complete all course requirements before the 30 hours, we recommend you return and review the sections most important to master your understanding of the subject matter. If you have completed the course in less than the recommended time and wish to receive a certificate documenting the hours you actually spent in the course please contact IEA at 1-800-655-4432 or email us at leslie@ieatraining.com. Please note that once you have received your certificate, you will no longer have access to the course.

Refund Policy
The course must be completed within 90 days of the date of purchase. A full refund, less a $30 fee, will be given within one week of registration if you are not satisfied with the product. No refund after one week. If student desires, instead of refund, he/she will be allowed to transfer into a classroom course or online instructor led course at public price with credit for entire online cost (no $30 fee).
