PMP 1 - Introduction to Project Management (Third Edition)
This course considers some of the organizational issues surrounding project management. Learners will review how different organizations handle the responsibilities of project management and will focus on the entity known as a project management office, or PMO. This course will also discuss how organizational structure can play a key role in the success or failure of project management.
After completing this course you will be able to:
- Understand Project Management in an organizational setting
- Explain the concept of a Project Management Office (PMO)
- Distinguish between functional and project-based management
- Understand the project life cycle and its common pattern
- Define and explain fast tracking

Prerequisites: Learners should have some experience in project management and will need to have access to the Project Management Institute's A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, Third Edition (PMBOK® Guide).
