PMP 9 - Project Quality Management (Third Edition)
This course considers what quality is in context of project management: its components and intent. Learners will understand the benefits of using a quality management plan and will develop an ability to recognize when quality has been achieved. After completing this course you will be able to:
- Define quality, quality planning, quality assurance and quality control
- Distinguish between quality assurance and quality control
- Explain what execution means in terms of quality assurance and quality control, including the use of certain activities such as sampling and inspection
- Understand the similarities and differences among quality tools, and generally when and why each is applied in quality management

This course is self-paced and online. You will have access to this course for 30 days. Upon successful completion, you will receive a Winchester Center for Management Development certificate of completion.
Target Audience: This course is designed for adult learners with some project management experience.
Level: Intermediate
Prerequisites: Learners should have some experience in project management and will need to have access to the Project Management Institute's A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, Third Edition (PMBOK® Guide).
Estimated time to complete: 3-5 hours of online course work NOTE: As of July 1, 2009, the PMP® certification exam will align with the Fourth Edition of the PMBOK® Guide. Learners planning to take the updated exam should prepare with the PMP® Exam Prep Course (Fourth Edition).
