This course will help learners define the core elements of risk management, including the risk management plan and the risk register. Additionally, the course examines how risks are identified, prioritized, quantified, and used in decision-making.

After completing this course you will be able to:

  • Understand the components of the risk management plan and risk register and their relationship to the project management plan.
  • Understand the techniques involved in risk identification and analysis.
  • Explain the interrelationship among risk planning, risk analysis, risk response planning, and risk monitoring and controlling.
  • Understand the strategies of risk response planning.
  • Explain the inputs, techniques, and outputs of risk monitoring and control, and how it fits into the overall monitoring and control process.
